A Reverance for the Passion Week

Passion Week.

Do we, Christians, care? Do I care? To non-believers, the Passion Week has absolutely no significance or meaning, but to US. Isn’t it EVERYTHING? When I think of Easter Sunday, why is it that the first thing that comes to my mind is the free lunch that the Church provides after service? Am I the only person who thinks this way? Quite possibly, but I think not. In fact, some Christians may not even know what the word “passion” in Passion Week refers to. The “passion” does not refer to the passion that Jesus had during this week, but it refers to suffering that Christ endured on the Cross. I believe that this week ought to be one of celebration and rejoicing, but at the same time, I also believe that we ought to spend a lot of time in solemn reflection. We REVERE by REMEMBERING. So, for each day of this week, let us remind ourselves on what the Passion Week really represents. Let us remember the Cross and all that is stands for. It is truly EVERYTHING.
